Handyman (all genders) in Frankfurt am Main

Frankfurt
Full-time
Permanent employee
30,000 - 35,000 € per year

We're building the future of urban stays. One city at a time.

Homaris is dedicated to one of the most pressing challenges facing modern cities: people from all over the world need places where they can live, work, and feel at home. We develop and operate fully digitalized serviced apartments in Germany's major cities. Our next step: Europe and beyond.

With the nanopartment®, we pursue a product vision that rethinks temporary living – in the smallest possible space.

Our revenue is tripling within two years, organically and on our own strength. Without venture capital. Without an exit strategy. We think long term and build our company consistently around that approach.

Exceptional people make this growth possible. We are now looking for one more person to help shape this journey with us.

Your Role

As Handyman (all genders), you will support us in the repair and maintenance of our serviced apartments across our three apartment buildings in Frankfurt. No technical or practical challenge that may arise in our accommodation properties is too big for you. You take ownership, find skilful, practical, and sustainable solutions, and, including in cooperation with external partners, ensure that our serviced apartments remain in operational condition.

We value diversity and invite people of all genders, cultures, and backgrounds to apply.

Please note: this text names Frankfurt as the location, while the earlier posting said Berlin (South area). Please check which is correct before you publish the English version. I also corrected the typo "Instandtsetzung" to "Instandsetzung" in the German original when translating.

What You'll Do

  • You carry out repair and restoration work in and around our serviced apartments and handle general facility management tasks.
  • You support the commissioning of new Homaris serviced apartments from a technical perspective.
  • You ensure that the buildings, fixtures and fittings, and outdoor areas are in proper, safe, and clean condition, and you are responsible for fulfilling the duty of care for public safety, including eliminating hazards and defects.
  • You are the point of contact for external service providers and tradespeople.
  • You monitor maintenance intervals, for example for elevators and ventilation/heating systems, and the execution of work carried out by commissioned maintenance companies.
  • You inspect and control technical installations.
  • You carry out apartment inspections.
  • By arrangement, you take on on-call duty for emergencies and breakdowns.
  • You are willing to travel to different properties.
  • By arrangement, you also take on winter service duties.
  • You show flexibility regarding your working hours, especially in emergencies.

What Makes You a Fit

  • You have completed a skilled trade or technical vocational training and have gained work experience in the areas of responsibility listed above, ideally in a hospitality business.
  • You are practically skilled, well organized, and work in a structured way.
  • You see yourself as a doer, have an eye for detail, and take on tasks proactively.
  • You have a friendly, confident, and composed manner.
  • You stand out through customer orientation, independence, willingness to perform, reliability, and conscientiousness, as well as teamwork and flexibility.
  • You work solution-oriented and keep track of things even in stressful situations.
  • You have a technical and digital understanding and are comfortable using apps.
  • You speak German at a minimum of B2 level and ideally English at a minimum of B1 level.
  • You hold a valid car driving licence (Class B).
  • You are physically fit and resilient.
  • You have a good technical understanding of heating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • You have experience in repair and maintenance work.
  • You have basic skills in using smartphones and tablets, are curious about the possibilities of using artificial intelligence, and are open to new digital solutions.

If you do not match every point in the profile above but are still interested in the position, please apply anyway. We welcome diverse CVs and profiles.

The Environment

Homaris is consistently focused on the long term. We do not invest in short-term growth with the aim of selling quickly. We are building something sustainable and substantial, and we are looking for people who want to walk this path with us and take on long-term responsibility.

The pace is high. The challenges are demanding and immediate. Our team is deliberately kept small so that every person makes a tangible contribution.

We do not always take enough time to make our successes visible and celebrate them together. We are working on this, and we would be delighted if you would support us in doing so.

What We Offer

We do not define our levels by job titles or years of experience, but by the topics you take ownership of independently and the decisions you stand behind.

Beyond that, we have thought carefully about what people need to do their best work and live well at the same time. This has resulted in a benefits package that reflects exactly that: health, mobility, personal development, flexibility, and a few special perks that come with working in the travel and hospitality industry. Much of it is already in place.

We are happy to present the details to you in a personal conversation.

Your last message was identical to the one before. If you meant to send a different text, please paste it and I will translate it.
